Chang Robotics is excited to announce the appointment of Marc Manning as CEO of Kodiak Technologies, a significant milestone in our ongoing partnership to advance zero-emission vehicle technology. Manning, a leading expert in zero-emissions vehicle design, will spearhead the development of Kodiak's new heavy-duty Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) platform. This American-made, powerful snow removal vehicle, designed in collaboration with Roush, was recently unveiled at the 2024 Snow Symposium in Buffalo, NY. With a torque output exceeding that of two Cummins X15 diesel engines, it is set to revolutionize commercial and industrial snow removal.

Manning’s extensive experience in transit bus engineering and leadership in the Transportation Decarbonization practice at Jacobs make him a perfect fit for this role. His background includes securing significant funding for zero-emission projects and contributing to the development of key industry standards. Under his leadership, Kodiak Technologies is poised to accelerate the seed-round funding and development of this groundbreaking HEV platform, which is already attracting interest from over 35 U.S. airports and numerous public sectors.

The partnership between Kodiak Technologies and Chang Robotics, alongside Roush’s design expertise, extends beyond snow removal. The platform’s versatility allows it to be adapted for other vehicle types requiring significant power output, with options for hybrid configurations where MCS infrastructure is unavailable. The first implementation, an FAA-compliant industrial snow blower vehicle, will meet federal grant eligibility, further cementing Kodiak Technologies' role in advancing sustainable, high-performance vehicle solutions.
