Matthew Chang received the Scott Amos Recent Alumnus Of Distinction Award from Jacksonville University for his exceptional professional accomplishments and contributions to the community. Matthew is honored to carry on the legacy of being an exceptional dolphin and making a difference in his professional and living communities. In 2017 Matthew Received an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) from JU.

Some of Matthew’s professional accomplishments since graduating from JU include: receiving the USDOT BUILD Grant Award for JTA & COJ, Graduating from Lifework Leadership, Awarded certificate of excellence from JTA, development of IoT factories for America’s manufacturing sector, and collaborator on CoJ's finalist application for national Smart Cities competition. Matthew has been invited to be a guest lecturer at other prestigious universities, including: Harvard Business School, Northwestern University, Georgia Tech, University of North Florida, and of course, Jacksonville University. Matthew has also made substantial contributions to the community though his involvement as a mentor for a boy’s group at the Church of Eleven22, his founding of the Tent Makers Ministry, his involvement as a mentor for ACE mentoring for Duval County Schools, and his being a coach for First Lego League robotics
at Matthew Gilbert Middle school.

“The Scott Amos Recent Alumnus of Distinction Award is bestowed upon our GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) alumni who represent what it means to be an exceptional dolphin. Named after JU’s Randall Scott Amos ’01/’02, who passed away on October 28, 2006, this award symbolizes young Dolphins who truly make a difference in their community, their profession, and at JU. Amos was Student Senator and Vice President of JU’s Student Government and President and Commander of Sigma Nu Fraternity. In addition to being selected for Green Key at JU for leadership and scholastic accomplishments, Scott earned B.S. and MBA from the Davis College of Business. Scott Amos’ legacy lives on with this award and all those it is presented to.”
Matthew was honored to be nominated and chosen to receive this award. He plans to continue making an impact in his community and his profession by driving business excellence and innovation into his work as an engineer.
